The Art Lab is June McEwan's new studio venture in Crieff, Perthshire. June, who is possibly best known for her Community Arts work throughout Perthshire, was keen to find premises which could welcome the public, and now all June's Strathlearning classes will be held in The Art Lab.

"This is a new departure for me," she said. "I'm holding my evening classes and life drawing sessions here, but I'm also going to be available for one-to-one lessons, or portfolio surgeries. Visitors will be welcome just to drop in and chat about art if they're passing."

To celebrate her new premises, June has organised eight special afternoon life-drawing sessions. Each day will consist of two periods, the first from 2-4 which will be tutored by June, followed by an untutored session from 4-6. "I've specially commissioned professional models for these days, and artists - whether amateur or professional - will find this resource valuable. I'll be on hand to give guidance if required, like a class, or people can just take advantage of the opportunity of having a model available."
